About Me

Hi, I’m Kimby!  Thanks for visiting my blog, and I hope you find it helpful.  Here’s a little bit about me…

Traveling is my #1 passion in life. My goal is to visit all 7 continents. Yes, that includes Antarctica!! I have wanted to be an actor/model since I was a child. I started singing publicly and made my first TV appearance at age 6!  Age the age of 8, I dissected a cow heart in school and my love of science and cardiology was born.  I decided I wanted to be a heart surgeon and worked hard to master every science course I took to prepare for Medical School.  I have 2 Bachelor’s Degrees from Auburn University (each Pre-med: Biomedical Sciences and Zoology) and a Master’s Degree from University of Florida in Forensic Science (DNA & Serology). Unfortunately, I could not master the MCAT and medical school did not happen, so I’ve gone back to my first love of acting/modeling.  I have 2 doggie kids.  I used to be a runner (more like a jogger) and would love to start running (er…jogging) again.

Little did I know that my passion for cardiology would come full circle for me.  My life was miraculously saved on June 17, 2014, after I suffered a massive heart attack following gall bladder surgery. Follow me on this new journey of health, medicine, spirituality, and life.

I hope to inspire young women with my story.  Please read my first blog post titled “My Story”.

    1. Thank you so much for visiting my blog, and I’m so glad you enjoy it! I checked out your video, and I love your song! I also checked out your Facebook page and will be sure to share it with my followers. So glad that the proceeds go to AHA! You are doing wonderful work!

    1. Thank you so much for checking out my blog! The hospital I was at was baffled that I was 38 and having a massive heart attack, but I think it is so important to make men and women aware that it can happen at any age. It’s not just an old man’s disease like many people think.
